Didn't drink tonight, but I did do laundry! Or, technically, I am currently doing laundry. It has been in the washing machine for the last 2 hours so I am wondering if it ate my clothes. Also did the dishes (or specifically, put the dishes in the dishwasher and turn it on). Cleaning isn't as much fun as it is all cracked out to be.

Class: 1 of 3. Showed up to the all important Weather class *haha* and received my worksheet. Seriously, if the lab continues to be this way I just might as well photo copy my roommate's and then copy his awnsers over. No CSCI 301 or MATH 253. Sadly, I know I didn't miss out on anything. It is bad when you can skip class and not give a shit because it doesn't matter.

I h8 work. Luckily, working on the floor means you have to do jack shit if you plan it out in advance. Also, luckily they pay me some $$$ (which is peanuts but I need the cash). *insert joke about giving 100%*

Lileks has this to say about the California Recall: "04 is going to be bloody, and it’ll be bloodier still after that. This is the sort of stuff that infects the body politic to the point where people demand that we saw off a limb, because the smell is too horrid. This is the stuff that leads to Constitutional Conventions. I’m always slightly chilled when I read a paper from the Center of the American Experiment, because the name reminds you that this is, historically, just that. And as any scientist will tell you: experiments fail."

I shurely hope not, at least to the point where the USA goes down the tubes. Would you live in a USSR with US technology or the US? Experiments fail, but if the US experiment fails what will be the outcome? Would it be a civil war like other countries? If so, civil war with thermonuclear weapons would be a nightmare not even worth contiplating. Ethnic cleansing would take on a new meaning when combined with VX, Anthrax, and dirty bombs. This IS my worst nightmare, the US breaks up in a bloody civil war and the fragments fight it out for territory with the US arsenal. This partially explains my overwhelming support for the war on terror, it isn't that should we win alot of people will be better off. It is that should we lose, hot much destruction will the US dish out before we go down?

How about soem upbeat news? Aviation news: the US will again be in space by the end of the year. This time, by private investors building their own spacecraft. Someday, space travel will be as common as an airliner flight. In the last 100 years, the world went from first learning to fly to the moon. The next century may see humans leaving the solar system. THAT WOULD BE AWSOME!
