I remember how I found out about 9/11 like it was yesterday. Due to Michelle's Voices project, I have decided to write it down for others to read. I will post it up later.

I must say in advance, I didn't lose anyone I knew in the tragety but it has turned my life on end. I remember the other false alerts afterword. The nuclear powerplant restrictions and the Terminal Flight Restrictions that continue to today. The fears that the military fighters would shoot to kill without warning if you screwed up. The half jokes of military fighters with cessna kills painted below the windshield. I thank god that I didn't have to make the preflight decision of who fights off the terorists and who flys the aircraft that became unofficial standard practice after 9/11.

The worst was the military drilling out at the airport. The military fighters would scramble and you would get out of their way as they screamed up. You wouldn't know what was going on, just that there was an F-16 on burners that was going someplace in a hurry. You would silently look at them and hope that they were going to return with all their missles.

Flight Level 180 is up! If you are reading this, obviously it is working (if not... WTF?).
